Bookmakers 2u feels this is wrong policy from the the "bookies"? and "cheet" customers make deposits to them. And then when its done "watch  our odds but dont touch it". What worse when a customers want to withraw funds, because of this, then the Companies need verify the customers account, and in some cases lot of emailwork and expensive time for customers disappear.

BetWay  has closed the account of a player with a $1369.60 balance. BetWay refunded the player's deposit of $495 minus a 10% administrative fee. BetWay claims that the player operated multiple accounts, which the player adamantly denies. This is the third BetWay account closure case reported  in the last month.

 Jazz Sportsbook - Caught Up in $178M Online Gambling Sting
A popular Costa Rican based online sports betting company, Jazz Sportsbook, has been implicated in an alleged $178M sting led by Queens District Attorney Richard Brown as part of a three year investigation into illegal bookmaking.Arrests occurred in New York City, Louisiana, Florida and Nevada involving agents and bookies.  Brown has spearheaded a number of criminal investigations into offshore sports betting over the years.
One of those arrested was William Bryant III, the premium sales manager for the NBA's New Orleans Hornets.  The team said Bryant was acting alone.
Prosecutors said Robert Baselice and Charles Cicalo, both from Staten Island, worked as bookmakers on crownsports.com and jazzsports.com, employing agents and other people to collect and disburse money.
Jazz is one of the pioneers of the Costa Rican offshore sports betting scene.  Its presence online, however, is somewhat nominal though the company does enjoy pivotal search placement with some terms on Google.  The company is known for its operation of small land-based casinos in the Central American nation.   Normal business operations are not likely to be impacted by this case.
More cash and millions of dollars in property were seized after more than a dozen search warrants were executed in New York, Florida, Michigan, Nevada and Louisiana.
"Such computerized wire rooms operate around the clock and can handle a large volume of bettors at any one time, thus allowing the organizers to increase their illicit profits without having to bother with the time-consuming, record-keeping aspects of a more traditional, paper-based bookmaking operation," Brown said. "Unfortunately for the defendants, the law enforcement community is just as adept in using new technology to stop those involved in such criminal pursuits."

A complaint has been filed against MyBet (unrated). A MyBet player requested payment of €400 in mid-March. He was asked to send in ID and obliged, three weeks later MyBet has yet to confirm receiving his documents and his payout has still not been processed.

 BetOnline - Won’t Pay Out on Future Bets
Panama City-based BetOnline.com is embroiled in a dispute with a player regarding a March Madness future bet.  Few are taking the side of BetOnline.com as the complainant posted his gripe on the SBR Forum website.

 

From SBR:
"I am having a major wager dispute with this book now. They are saying my future bet on Syracuse to win the Big East Championship (made in November) was actually for the Big East Tournament. I have been battling them all week"

Anyway, he said that on his wager detail page, there is an "event date." When he printed his wager detail in February, the event date was 3/1/2010, which is BEFORE the conference tournament. Now, when he looks at his pending wager, the event date has been changed to 3/14/2010, which is AFTER the conference tournament.
It seems to me as though they don't want to pay this bet. The Operations Manager at The Greek concurred with my sentiment. For all of the reasons described on my complaint, the wager was clearly for the regular season. This latest evidence now suggests the management at BetOnline knew it was for the regular season but then changed it when they decided they didn't want to pay.
It should be noted that the operations manager for TheGreek.com, which is among the more respected online sportsbooks, was a former employee of BetOnline.com and has expressed his distain for that company in the past.
This is not to say he is wrong in his assessment of the situation.
One member of the SBR.com website had this to say about BetOnline.com:
I agree that a succession of errors were made, but if the dates were changed on the wager, that is a pretty egregious act. I really thought that BetOnline was a real good entry into the market at first, but after my initial deposit there a while back, I have not returned because of stories like this.
BetOnline.com has been terribly mismanaged over the past two years and the company is looking to change this situation by hiring some well known industry professionals.
Late last year, one of the principals in BetOnline.com was arrested and taken into custody on US soil for illegal bookmaking

 Ladbrokes - Limits Players Bets to 1 Euro Max
If you win, you're limits often get cut, especially at the European online sportsbooks.  Just ask one poor customer of Ladbrokes.  He claims they limited him to a lousy 1 euro max.
Writing on the SBR Forum the individual illustrated his situation:
"Ladbrokes is a joke! I wager with them for about couple of years my average bet size is around 40 Euro per bet.  And i am not a steam chaser. My bets used to be 33E and 66E per game sometimes as high as 99E all singles."
Now he claims they have imposed 1 euro limits on his action.
"UK Books tend to solve their problem by calling punters "sharps" cheats and arbers.Instead of admitting they are bunch of dumb asses that can't set the line /odds right."
Ladbrokes isn't alone in its decision to drastically limit players they consider to be "sharps".
Another poster chimed in with his own person experience dealing with the European sports betting establishments:
"So far four bookies have limited me.  1. Betsafe (I can bet 1 to 4 dollars)   2. Interwetten (limits fast so people cant fulfil their rollover requirements = crook book. Last bet I wanted to do was 3 dollars, but I could only bet 1.5 dollars!!)  3. Sportingbet (About 90 dollars is max now)   4. Ladjokes (I can bet about 7 dollars maximum now. If the odds are 1.4 or lower I can bet 15 dollars!!!!)."
